Graham at The Recording Revolution describes the complex interaction among the three most important roles (excluding the artist) in the recording studio: the producer, the engineer, and the digital audio workstation (DAW) operator. The author then describes the challenge of assuming all three roles in a home studio. He suggests finding one’s favorite of the three roles while learning not to neglect the other two.
