The Library of Congress has a new plan to preserve significant historical audio recordings. The plan, The Library of Congress National Recording Preservation Plan, will involve both private and public sectors, and aims to make recordings available for educational purposes, as well as for historical preservation. Storage capacity and ever-changing technology are just two of the many challenges involved in the project.
