The Who kicked off a major American tour, facing the prospect of putting a large crew out of work, after John Entwistle was found dead in a Las Vegas Hotel room. After some debate they decided the show must go on and have toured ever since that day pretty steadily. They say that they have never sounded the same after Entwistle’s passing.
