Amateur audio recording engineers often pose questions that cannot be answered in a simple way. Many want to achieve a specific sound – to which the answer cannot be summed up in a single statement. Basically it begins by learning to hear well and understanding what need to be changed. Recreating the sound of a popular artist requires much more than mixing skill and the work should never be finished in an engineer’s mind.
