This article is by a music producer and he shares a tip for when the final mix of a piece of music is being completed. He has found that using a distraction, in this case an un-muted TV allows him to pick up on what may be missing from the mix. He believes that this is a real world test of the music, since people are generally listening to music while doing something else.
