Determining a peak listening level for audio can be critical to protecting ones hearing in later life. Doctors warn to keep music below 85dB but anyone who has attended a Rolling Stones concert has exceeded that. Audiogon surveys members to see what they consider their peak listening level which is loud but still enjoyable and hopefully safe.
