Volvo to replace body parts with energized carbon fiber panels that produce electricity.

One of the great hindrances to full electric cars is the added weight of the battery pack. Volvo is working on an innovative solution to this by building cars out of carbon fiber materials that act as the battery pack. This solution not only eliminates the weight of the battery it could also make the body panels 50% lighter. And we use carbon in our low frequency absorbers so its not all bad.
