This article is about a new way to share large files for companies. Cascade is a prototype that has just been launched into orbit on a rocket. This prototype is meant to allow the transfer of large files at a quick rate. While some current file sharing sources can take upwards of three days, Cascade would be able to transfer the files faster. The drawback is minuscule – the satellite would orbit the globe every 90 minutes, so your files would upload when it’s overhead and download when it goes over the destination the files are meant for.
Great news for all studio heads that need to share large files over great distances in a small time frame me thinks!
