The True Story In A Song

By May 22, 2012No Comments

Kim Lajoie talks about storytelling in the following post. In storytelling, truth is subjective. Once a story is released to the world it changes. This is equally true in the stories that fuel songwriting. Stories are best told in a way that generates a real truth, the emotional truth. The order of facts is often irrelevant; but if the emotional impact within a song (or any art form) is unbelievable then the story, however real the events, is a lie.
