The “Dylan Fest” held at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco was a celebration of the singing/songwriting legend – Bob Dylan. The tributes given to Dylan were not only paid by the fans attending, but also by the various festival performers themselves. The performers paying tribute to
Dylan were numerous, including the founding members of the Best Fest, members of the former Sly and the Family Stone, Laura Johnston, Raymond Baxter and San Francisco’s Chuck Prophet, among others. Another nice benefit of this concert was that all proceeds from the event went to “Sweet Relief” – a charity that helps career musicians who are struggling with various medical issues.
