While many people may wish to learn guitar playing, there is some disagreement about the most effective way to learn. Some players recommend drilling scales and simple melodies in order to master the dexterity and finger movements necessary to properly play a guitar whereas player Matt Blackett recommends recording oneself playing and listening to the recording in order to get a better sense for ones own areas in need of improvement.
