I came across an interesting read on recordproduction.com that I thought I would share. While “The Voice” is supposed to transcend the image of artists and focus on their music, the author of this article believes otherwise. Rather, he feels that such a claim is merely a pretentious gesture and that the show fails to live up to its own hype. Is The Voice’s advertising just a thinly-veiled method of attracting viewers to yet another cheesy entertainment show?
In my opinion YES:
