Bass blues has changed dramatically since its early conception in the 1960’s as ‘Fender’ bass. Bass blues originated as the genre of folk music was evolving into what is now known as folk/Rock. An iconic bass blues guitar player by the name of Harvey Brooks followed the Bob Dylan era of guitar playing. The bass blues playing was so popular at a Bob Dylan concert that Harvey remembered that the fans ‘charged the band’.
