Treatment behind AT screen

Hi Dennis and Team,

my name is Christian and I’m from Germany. I really enjoy your Youtube videos and learned a lot about room acoustics.

When we moved into our house, I had a room in the basement to spare and turned it into a 2-channel/ Home theater room.

The room is pretty small (3,5 m wide and 5 meter long), but I managed to get it sounding pretty good for my ears :-).

In the front I use an AT screen with the center speaker and absorbtion behind it. The rear wall is also completely absorbtive with 2x QRD 11 on the sides.

First reflection points are treated with absorbers and the ceiling is covered with QRD7 diffusors in a 2d array.

My question is: Does it make sense to put Diffusors behind the AT screen? Or is it a complete waste of money/ time, because the screen is so reflective?

Thanks in advance

Regards
Christian

If you cover the diffuser with a screen the diffuser will not work. Think of a diffuser as a speaker. Anything you place in front of it will destroy its function.
