I am setting up a practice space for my band in my living room and I need to reduce the noise levels in the adjacent room. I don’t need total sound blocking, just enough to protect my cats hearing when they are in that room. Does anyone have experience dealing with a similar situation and if so how did you deal with it? I am having a hard time finding solutions online and was wondering if any of you had some suggestions.

There are no solutions on line. People do not understand noise transmiion and those that say they do don’t. What dB SPL level do you wish to reduce to? Drums have 120 dB SPL peaks,
