Diaphragmatic Absorber Placement - Drum Room

Hi there! I have 2 diaphragmatic absorbers and want to place them in the optimum spot in my small drum tracking room. Should I place them mounted to the walls on both sides of the kit OR should I leave the absorber as freestanding units and place them around the kick drum? Thanks!
