On the set of the BBC series ‘Doctor Who’, characters aren’t the only ones carrying ‘sonic tools’. The show’s sound manager, Deian Humphreys, who often has eight ISO tracks and two mixed tracks, is equipped with his favorite audio mixers and devices. In addition special effects and required dialog-to- character matching determine his sound equipment choices, which have a lot to stand up to, on set.
