I would like to share this post by sound engineer Kim Lajoie on his blog for my daily audiophile roundup. He uses the example of a quote concerning the news reporting industry and transfers its meaning to the music production industry. The idea is that in both fields there is an honest consumer demand, e.g. that people are willing to pay for this product, despite some of the modeling of internet distribution. However it is also pointed out that there is too much unrequested production in both arena’s.
