Hello all,

As the title says I would like to hear your opinions about sound barrier and missiles.

I’ve read that German V-2 missile broke the sound barrier as early as 1942.

Is it possible that a normal air-to-air missile (AIM-120, AIM-7, AIM-9) or an SAM missile (Hawk, Patriot, S-300) can break the sound barrier and a person on the ground could hear that as well?

I didn’t find the right solution from the internet.
