Hi

I have been having a band room built into my house in Sydney Australia . I have gone to a local guy but at best he just sells the materials and isn’t very experienced.

The room is 5 metres by 4 metres and is 2.5 metres high. The walls and ceiling are made of firechek plaster board and has the heaviest mass loaded vinyl between two layers of firechek. The door is an acoustic glass door as is the window.

The problem is if I clap my hands it is easily heard outside and if I talk it too is easily heard. There is some attenuation but no where near enough.

Do I have any options to further reduce volume and reverb.

Thanks for your assistance.

Regards

Mark

In my family we are musicians, we are preparing an audio room, we began to review several pages and we found these perforated acoustic panels in this link. https://www.perforatedacoustic…..anels.com/ we liked them because they serve two functions:
1 .- sound lessen and
2 .- decoration.
We contacted them and they gave us excellent advice
