Hi, Mr. Foley
since I appreciate very much your videos and bought the buld plans one part is missing to me. It is the methods and equipment to measure the room acoustics prior and after treatment.
As an EE I have professional equipment and software for measuring SPL, RTA, etc.
It would be great if you had a video or a description showing how you do it. If it is a business secret I will accept this of course. But please tell if it is a secret thus never ask again.
Sure I know how to measure all that stuff, but it is the question of measuring the right things in order to get proper use of absorbers and reflectors. I want to help a vintage (or you say classic?) recording studio to measure and perhaps improve the acoustic for the musicians recording room as well for the monitoring/mixing room. I do this not professionally since I am already retired, so this is more a hobby and keeping the brain running.
Great greetings from Germany
Sven

S, It is a good idea. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to accomplish this. Would you be interested in doing a video showing measurement techniques? I would add commentary.

Hi D, since to me time is shortage and there are so many videos , scripts, meas software manuals available from the internet I don´t think it is worth trying to add another one.
What I possibly could do, if the studio is really going to make changes in acoustics and allow to document this, then I can try to present the way it was done. But this may take some time.
Greetings, Sven
