QRD Diffuser material choice

Bit consern about the choice of wood for QRD Diffuser ? Which type of wood would get better performance for Diffuser ? Ex. Pine, Plywood,MDF, hardwood or anything else ?

Please help 😊.

We use cherry veneer on all of our diffusers.

OK, but what would be the complementary base wood type to which the cherry veneer would be applied? Your plans mention Alder, Basswood, Plywood but in the UK, pine softwood is the most common wood type in the builders supply outlets. Do you apply oil to the cherry veneer?
