First some comments:
So glad I found your site. YT and the interweb have so much misinformation about small room acoustics. Among my faves, foam bass traps! , so-called bass absorbers that only work above 125hz and foam foe soundproofing.
On to my question:
1. Overall I,m happy with the reververation of my room, except that drywall sound. Does drywall have a specific frquency response?
2. What is the minimum distance one should sit away from a 2D diffuser array? Guess we can assume a P7 or 9 diffuser .
3. Do Bass Absorber panels make an effective sound barrier for outgoing sound?
I’ve watched your videos and read your courses and haven’t found these answers tho maybe I missed them.
And thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. Again there’s just so much b.s. on the web, much of which we can reject because you take the time to share the science behind room treatment with us mere mortals.

J,

Yes, it has a negative impact on the response from 800 – 2,000. You should be at least 4′ – 5′ away from P-7, P-11, 2-D. Absorbers do not act as a barrier technology.
