I know diffusors need to have room to breath and require enough distance between the diffusor and the listener. My question is: can that distance be to great or is it better to move the diffusor closer to the listener but within proper distance? I have two large diffusors about 6.5 feet tall and 30″ wide with activated carbon on the lower 1/3 and each weigh 300 pounds. They are QD13. They are self supporting so they could be away from the back wall and moved more in the middle of the room.

The distances required in our charts are minimimums. You can experiment with larger distances. Distances after the minimums are subjective and preference can vary from person to person.
