These are the problems many producers and mixing engineers face in their rooms. Even experienced mixing engineers can find it difficult to craft mixes that translate well outside of their own studios.

The low-end often sounds like a muddy soup that sits on top and covers up the vocal tracks which we want to cut through the mix with clarity and separation.

The truth is: Most studios do not have a sufficient size and setup to be used as a neutral mixing environment. The sound waves coming out of your monitors will bounce off the walls and create sidewall reflections which will distort the signal that you’re hearing.

Another problem is bass or low-frequency energy. As most of our studios today are too small for a low-frequency sound wave to fully unfold, it becomes very difficult to hear and ultimately mix basslines correctly.

Using our acoustic treatment technology, many mixing engineers and music producers were able to finally tackle these issues once and for all. The results were a dramatic reduction in mixing times and hearing fatigue, significantly better translation of mixes in different listening situations and overall crisp and clean mixes that are a joy to listen to.
