MDW – 7 Mini Wood Diffuser
When we treat a room, we have two choices. We have absorption and diffusion. Absorption reduces the amount of energy we have to deal with in the room. Less energy, less problems.
Diffusion is the other option. Diffusion does not reduce amplitude or strength. Diffusion takes the energy and spreads it out in the time domain in a hemispherical arch that is dedicated by the diffusion positioning in either a vertical or horizontal array.
Quadratic diffusion is the only diffusion type that satisfies all of the rigid acoustical requirements of creating a truly diffuse sound field. The standard frequency response for quadratics is from 200 Hz. – 3500 Hz. We can position one dimensional quadratic diffusers either vertically or horizontally to create the proper array of diffusion we desire to introduce. With the MDW series we can extend the frequency response up to 13 K. We can add air and sparkle to a dull presentation. We can add definition, separation and musicality to any presentation using the MDW series.
We have three series. We have the MDW -7, MDW-11,and the MDW-13. Each series has its own frequency response and its own physical depth dimension. You can see the comparison of all three series at this link: https://www.acousticfields.com/mdw-mini-diffuser-overview/ Units weigh 20 – 30 lbs for each 48″ section depending on the prime number of that series.
