Overworked Compressor Attacks Mix Engineer

Joe of homestudiocorner.com talks about humans who tend to overdo things in his latest post which I think is a good read if you get the chance. From Adam and Eve, stories tell of humans going too far, not thinking they have enough, and otherwise doing what they shouldn’t. Another example is compression: it sounds good on one track, so it will sound good on all of them; or so mixers think. Learning to use a compressor properly, though, is an important skill.
