I am about to build a new studio in my basement for the purposes of recording live music. I have developed a few plans that i am considering. Both plans have a Control Room and Live Room and ISO rooms. My issue is deciding on parallel walls or not. Please see http://www.jetpackband.ca/stud….._Angle.jpg and http://www.jetpackband.ca/stud…..rallel.jpg. Any help would or suggestions would be great.

Please note that the Angled version is using Feet that are actually in INCHES. It’s the same basement in both images. Thanks!

J, parallel walls are the least of your problems. Your ratios of width, height, and length are not acceptable for minimizing low-frequency issues and the required treatment. Fill out the information in this link and include photos of existing surfaces. https://acousticfields.com/fre…..-analysis/ Secure a time after room form submission to go over by phone.
