When Dylan met the Beatles – history in a handshake? | Music | The Guardian

At one point in time, August 28, 1964 to be exact, two iconic music makers came together in real life. The Beatles and Bob Dylan were introduced to each other at the Delmonico hotel in New York City. Obviously they were familiar with each other, both being quite popular at the time. After this meeting, the Beatles felt encouraged to get away from the stadiums full of screaming fans, and Dylan went on to merge the world of folk and rock even more.
