Vinyl sales are coming back. Since 2007, record sales have climbed each year, reaching 4.6 albums sold in 2012. While legitimate retailers have begun selling vinyls, the bootleg record industry is making a comeback too. Consumer technology, such as smartphones and youtube have made it harder for bootleggers to turn a profit, with so many free music sources available to the public.
