Hello guys I am currently getting ready to break ground on a new studio for producing and mastering music. The area of the room I have is 14.5 x 13.5 x 7.5 ft and will probably convert the room to a 13.5 x 10 x7.5 and use the extra area for a mic booth… I know I will miss the space but think that a rectangular shape will be better for acoustics… also If you are familiar with the ROOM MODE CALCULATOR the 13.5 x 10 will be right in the BOLT area… I have plenty of acoustic panels absorbers and diffusors… any advice would be great…

P, Neither room size or volume will work for your usage. Bolt’s data is not reliable. It is psychoacoustic based.

Hey Dennis!

Thanks for taking the time to respond… I love your videos and have nothing but the deepest respect for all your hard work and wisdom. Are you telling me both rooms will be inadequate? If so probably because of height? Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about my area that I currently have…

Thanks Dennis
Cool

P, The room size and volumes create more problems than you have space to treat.
