Hi there, just discovered your site and can see there is some very good reading.

My question is around different types of wall construction in my new listening room . A garage conversion.

Two adjoining walls are brick, another timber frame wall adjoins one of the brick walls, the last isn’t a wall yet but a full with roller door. The room is around 5mtr, not square but maybe 1/2 mtr off square. No ceiling as yet. I can make this sloped or whatever shape you recommend…
None of the walls are treated or lined as yet, looking for advise on this.

Which ever wall I place the speakers on they’ll have different wall construction bordering them. Is this an issue?

I can post a picture of the room if that helps?

Appreciate any advise.

Thanks Dave

Dave, Fill out your room information in this link. Include photos of all room surfaces. Let’s take a look at your whole room size and usage. Wall construction depends on noise rates and levels. https://acousticfields.com/fre…..-analysis/
