After a many years of being unsatisfied in my occupation, IT Engineering, I’m ready to get more serious about starting a transition into something that is fun, challenging and interesting to me. However, I have no idea where to start. It seems in my area, Louisville, KY, the opportunities to start a business centering on architectural acoustic consulting, etc is there, I can’t find much in the form of existing companies, but again where does one start? I have shade tree, self taught, self experimentation, knowledge, but would certainly want to partake in either actual educational programs or potentially do some pro bono work for a regional outfit, but again … where to begin? Thoughts or recommendations from a those who have made this a lifes work?

B, Find a project in your area that needs noise or treatment assistance. I will guide you through the process of evaluation, testing, and application.

Wow, that is extremely generous. I will see what I can find and be back in touch.

In the meantime for the last year I’ve been devouring all of the videos and information you have put forth. I’ve been playing around with measurements, treatments and such for about 8 or 9 years now and the information you are sharing has increased what I had previously learned and discovered tenfold. What you are doing for the community and the field of acoustic study is invaluable.
